Not all the mentions are particularly nice ones. The author, Liesl Shurtliff, takes care to weave in a few other characters like Snow White, Rump (who we can safely assume is Rumpelstiltskin), and a beast that lives in a castle with a red rose garden (sound familiar?). Goldie, a little girl who sounds strangely like Goldie Locks, is on a mission of her own. Wolf is a lonely wolf who’s pack has been hunted down and killed. One thing leads to another and we meet a few interesting friends. Struggling with the fear of losing her, Red sets out to collect ingredients to make one of her grandmother’s cure-all potions. While Granny doesn’t say that she’s dying, Red starts to fear that the sickness is the beginning of the end of her grandmother’s life. In The True Story of Red Riding Hood, we follow Red, a strong and independent young girl, on a mission to save her grandmother from a sickness.

He also was the Grateful Dead's "head roadie" and equipment manager during and prior to those years, and began his first role with the band as tour truck driver in 1967. He was President of Grateful Dead Productions, Inc., from 1976, the year that the Grateful Dead incorporated, until the death of guitarist Jerry Garcia in 1995. Laurence Shurtliff (Ap– May 17, 2006) (also spelled Lawrence Shurtliff and a.k.a., Ram Rod) was an American music executive and roadie.
